About
Since launching his solo practice in 1998, Mark P. Loftus has dedicated his career to representing individuals and businesses in a variety of legal disputes. His early experience at major Chicago law firms provided a foundation in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. One of his first significant cases involved a young mother whose undiagnosed breast cancer led to a $1.6 million settlement, a case that reinforced his dedication to handling legal matters with care and commitment. While his practice initially focused on personal injury, it has since expanded to include employment law, real estate disputes, insurance claims, construction litigation, and business matters. A Chicago native, Loftus graduated from Knox College before earning his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1985. Early in his career, he transitioned from defense litigation to plaintiff representation, securing substantial verdicts and settlements for injured clients. He has tried cases throughout Cook, Lake, DuPage, and Kankakee counties, obtaining multimillion-dollar results. Loftus remains actively involved in the legal community through memberships in the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
