Margit M. Hicks is a dedicated attorney and the founder of the Law Offices of Margit M. Hicks in Fayetteville, North Carolina, specializing in personal injury law. A native of Fayetteville, Margit was raised in a military family, with her father serving as a veteran of World War II, as well as the Korean and Vietnam wars. Her mother, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Moravia, instilled in her the values of hard work and perseverance. Margit is a proud alumna of Terry Sanford High School, where she and her twin sister achieved remarkable success, holding the state record for winning the Tennis Doubles Championship for four consecutive years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later obtained a Master’s of Science in Government from Campbell University. In 1990, she graduated from Campbell University Law School, marking the beginning of her legal career. Initially practicing family law with Blackwell, Luedeke & Strickland, Margit founded her own firm in 2001, focusing on personal injury cases. She is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Executive Committee of the Cumberland County Bar Association, and the 12th Judicial District Bar Association. Recently, she was appointed to the Disciplinary Hearing Commission of the North Carolina State Bar. Outside of her professional commitments, Margit is an engaged member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she serves on various committees.
