About

After graduating, cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, Megan Jones joined the firm as an associate. Her practice is devoted exclusively to civil litigation, representing Fortune 500 companies as well as closely held corporations both in and out of the courtroom. Megan concentrates primarily in the areas of workers' compensation, employment law, and insurance defense, along with product liability and automotive litigation. In addition to her active litigation practice, Megan regularly presents to clients on emerging issues in workers' compensation and insurance law, along with case law updates for the various areas of her practice. Recently, she has won defense verdicts on behalf of Allstate Insurance Company and Vulcan Threaded Products Inc. She is admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of the State of Alabama and Federal Court. Megan has been recognized as a 2014 “Rising Star” Lawyer by B-Metro magazine. B-Metro’s survey of local attorneys reveals the names and faces that you should know in the Birmingham legal community. The Rising Stars were selected based on their legal professionalism and community involvement. Today, Megan remains active in Cumberland School of Law's Trial Program devoting time to judging current law students in various competitions. She is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and Women’s Section, Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Program, and the Junior League of Birmingham. Megan also serves on the Junior Board for the Birmingham Children’s Theater.
