About
Attorney Lisa L. Monnette has practiced exclusively in family law for over thirteen years, focusing her career on complex divorce and custody cases. Over the years, Lisa has handled an extensive caseload and has helped hundreds of clients successfully settle or litigate their family law matters. Lisa brings her passion for helping people to Cantor Law Group. She believes that advocating for her clients includes a balance of zealous representation and compassion. This combination allows Lisa to help her clients understand and navigate the difficult legal process while obtaining them a favorable resolution. In 2024, Lisa became an Arizona Board-Certified Family Law Specialist. Only a small percentage of family law attorneys have achieved this level of education, training and success. This designation means that Lisa satisfied the rigorous requirements of the Arizona State Bar, which include substantial experience in complex and unique family law issues, extensive continuing legal education, peer review recommendations regarding her professionalism and competence, and successful completion of a comprehensive exam. Recently, Lisa achieved success in the Arizona Court of Appeals, in the case of Wilson v. Wilson (memo decision filed April 28, 2025). In this case, Lisa successfully set aside a default decree that was wrongfully entered against her client, arguing that the decree was inequitable and that her client’s due process was violated. The Court of Appeals agreed with Lisa’s argument, vacated the default decree and remanded the matter back to the trial court for further proceedings. Currently, Lisa has two other cases pending with the Court of Appeals. Outside of her legal career, Lisa enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband and three kids.
