About

Lea Sullivan McDermid is a dedicated attorney based in Anchorage, Alaska, with over two decades of legal experience. A graduate of Berkeley Law in 2001, Lea began her legal career by clerking for the Alaska Supreme Court, where she gained invaluable insights into the state's judicial system. Following her clerkship, she founded her own law firm, where she practiced primarily in immigration law for 13 years. In 2018, Lea expanded her expertise by joining Shaftel Delman, LLC, where she not only continued her immigration practice but also delved into estate planning, business law, and probate/trust administration. Her diverse practice areas reflect her commitment to providing comprehensive legal services tailored to the unique needs of her clients. In April 2020, Lea became a part of the Durrell Law Group, where she continues to serve clients in Anchorage and the surrounding areas. With a passion for helping individuals and families navigate complex legal matters, Lea is particularly focused on estate planning and immigration law, ensuring her clients achieve their goals with personalized attention and care. Outside of her professional life, Lea cherishes her time with her husband and two school-aged children. The family enjoys exploring Alaska's breathtaking landscapes through skiing, camping, hiking, and mountain biking. What began as a temporary stay in Alaska has turned into a deep-rooted love for the state, which Lea now proudly calls home.
