I have had a trial practice since 1993, handling commercial disputes, estate contests, emergency litigation, appeals, and criminal defense in federal and state courts in and around Chicago, and throughout the nation. I have won many valuable settlements, judgments, and jury verdicts in civil cases, as well as numerous verdicts in favort of the defense where the plaintiff got nothing and aquittals for clients accused of criminal offenses from judges and juries. I have obtained numerous favorable results in appeals to reviewing courts, including the Appellate Court of Illinois. I have been admitted to practice in Illinois and Maryland since the early 1990s. I am admitted to numerous federal trial and appellate courts, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. I have taught as a law professor at Northern Illinois University. I teach from time to time as an adjuct professor at Aurora University as well.
