After graduating from Dartmouth, Mr. Weidner's passion for rugby took him to New Zealand, where he briefly played before pursuing his legal education at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Law. Graduating in 1988, he demonstrated leadership as Captain of both the Wharton School of Business Rugby Team and the Law School Rugby Team, further developing his skills in teamwork and strategy. Following law school, Mr. Weidner proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years. His military career included prominent roles such as Chief Trial Counsel for the four Western Marine Corps Air Bases and Senior Defense Counsel for the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, as well as the Beaufort Naval Hospital. He also served as Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern Recruiting Region, culminating in a promotion to Major in October 1996. Mr. Weidner transitioned from military service to civilian life in December 1996, establishing his law practice in Beaufort. In addition to his legal expertise, Mr. Weidner is an accomplished licensed pilot, holding a commercial pilot's license with single, multi-engine, and instrument ratings.
