Lacy Rose received her B.A. in 2003 from Spring Arbor University, where she majored in Family Life Education. She graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 2007. During law school, Ms. Rose served as Managing Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and received certificates of merit in estate planning and scholarly writing. Ms. Rose has significant experience in consumer bankruptcy, social security disability representation, estate planning, family law, criminal defense, and litigation involving employment and civil rights. Ms. Rose served for five years as an Adjunct Professor at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan, where she taught in the areas of legal ethics, legal research and writing, and real estate transactions. Ms. Rose's community involvement includes serving as a classroom instructor for Junior Achievement (an organization dedicated to teaching young people about business and money management), serving on a committee for Law Day (an annual event with the goal of educating the public regarding how the law and legal process contributes to American freedoms), serving on a domestic violence task force with the aim of coordinating policy and program development among county agencies in the area of domestic violence, serving as a court-appointed guardian ad litem in plenary guardianship proceedings, and serving as court-appointed cousel in civil commitment hearings.
