Kurt Alan Offner is a founding member of the law firm Alvendia, Kelly & Demarest in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he specializes in business litigation, insurance, medical malpractice, and personal injury. Renowned for his expertise in Pawnbroker Law, he is recognized as one of the few attorneys in the nation with this specialization. Kurt co-authored the influential texts "Federal Laws Affecting Pawnbrokers" and "Louisiana Law of Pawn and Secondhand Dealers" (4th Edition) alongside Dr. Wayne M. Babovich. Kurt's legal acumen extends to significant involvement in high-profile cases, including the BP litigation, where he represents the University of Louisiana System, the Southern University System, and various private companies and local government entities.
