Kerry is currently a member of the National Board of NAELA (the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys), he is the Immediate Past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys - Illinois Chapter; a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Disability and Elder Law; as well as a past member of the Suburban (Cook County) Area Agency on Aging's Board of Directors. Kerry is a member of the Board of Directors of Keshet School. Mr. Peck was retained by the City of Chicago, Department of Aging and named Special Assistant Corporate Counsel for the City of Chicago. His assignment was to revise the State of Illinois Elder Abuse and Neglect Act Statutes. This major legislative project is an acknowledgment of Kerry's leadership in the Elder Law Community. He has appeared on several television news programs, been interviewed by local radio and Chicago newspapers on the Schiavo issues. Kerry has litigated many right-to-die cases. Kerry serves on the National Board of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He was also chosen as a delegate to The White House Conference on Aging held in Washington, D.C. in December of 2005. Kerry was a speaker at the San Antonio, TX conference of the National Organization of Bar Counsels. Kerry has taught attorneys at seminars for the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association of Illinois and, the National Organization of Bar Counsel. He was featured as a speaker at the International Psychogeriatric Convention in Vancouver, Canada, addressing geriatric psychiatrists. Kerry has presented seminars to the professional staffs of health care institutions, banks, and the City of Chicago, and Department on Aging. Kerry has been engaged by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board among others to present pre-retirement seminars to employees nearing retirement age. Kerry=s legal talent has been recognized by the television, radio and print media. He has been quoted in the Business Section of the Chicago Tribune on estate planning and has appeared on several television and radio shows, including A Front and Center, CLTV News; A Will Fights< /EM> , the Oprah Winfrey Show; ABC-TV News, with Financial Reporter Andrew Leckey, regarding probate and wills; and monthly on CBS-WBBM radio's Dave Baum Talk Show for several years to name a few. He has written articles for the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, Chicago Bar Association Record and various other bar association journals and newspapers.
