Ms. Alexander is a partner in the firm. Kenyetta worked as a law clerk with Mr. Osherow while in law school and then as an associate attorney in the firm for 8 years, and rejoined the firm in 2020. Ms. Alexander received her Juris Doctorate (JD) in December, 2006 from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from LaGrange College, Lagrange Georgia, in 1999, with a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, May, 1999, and also received an A.A. degree in Criminal Justice,. She i s a member of The Florida Bar since April 2007, and a member of the Bar of the State of Georgia, since February 2018. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, 2007 (including Bankruptcy Court), and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, 2008 (including Bankruptcy Court). Ms. Alexander has managed numerous complex cases in state and federal courts including cases in bankruptcy courts, in the areas of business and commercial litigation, consumer finance, condominium and homeowner association law, securities law and labor and employment law from inception through trial. She has handled and participated in all phases of cases, including successfully representing clients at trial as first and second chair in both jury and non-jury trials, as well as arbitrations. Ms. Alexander also has significant experience handling appeals including researching and writing briefs and participating in oral arguments. Ms. Alexander's work includes, claimants against brokers and broker-dealers for breach of contract and violations of the Securities Act of 1933; partners in actions against partnerships arising under breach of partnership agreement; corporations in actions arising under breach of employment/non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, including obtaining temporary and permanent injunctions against former employees prohibiting competing with and soliciting the corporation’s clients; complex litigation cases in state and federal courts, including plaintiffs in the Multi-District Litigation in the Southern District of New York against Standard Chartered, Fairfield Sentry Limited Fund, et al. (the feeder fund for Bernard L. Madoff Investments Securities, LLC) for breach of contract and violations of the Securities Act of 1933; creditors In re Rothstein, Rosenfeldt, Alder, P.A. (Case No.: 09-34791) and In re Banyon 1030-32, LLC (Case No.: 10-33691) to recover monies absconded by Scott Rothstein; former employees against employers for violations of the FLSA.; employers in actions arising under Title VII; actions before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as other administrative hearings. Ms. Alexander also has had experience conducting mediations and arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and FINRA, including prosecuting claims against Morgan Keegan and . defending claims against Allstate Financial Services, LLC. Ms. Alexander also assisted in the handling and successful resolution of a class action lawsuit against Buy Owner, Inc., et al. for violations of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County (Case No.: 50 2006 CA 011489MB).
