About
Kelly’s practice focuses on high-stakes commercial litigation, products liability matters, and catastrophic personal injury defense. Kelly has also developed expertise in insurance coverage and indemnity disputes, and has represented both policyholders and insurance carriers in resolving high-value disputed claims. Kelly applies his experience as a federal law clerk to forge creative and effective solutions to a wide range of civil disputes. Since joining Corr Cronin in 2012, Kelly has had significant experience in a wide range of disputes in Washington’s state and federal courts and in alternative dispute resolution forums, having served as an active part of the defense team in several trials, argued and won numerous motions in Washington’s state courts, and obtaining favorable settlements in a number of mediations. Prior to Joining Corr Cronin, Kelly served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edward F. Shea in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Kelly was named a “Rising Star” by Washington Law & Politics Magazine for 2016 and 2017. Kelly is active in the Seattle community, serving as Legal Chair of the Board of Directors of the Blue Ridge Neighborhood Club and volunteering for the King County Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinics. Kelly is also the author of two published guidebooks to nationally-recognized climbing areas in Washington. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington Climbers’ Coalition, a nonprofit organization that promotes and protects climbing access across the state. Kelly is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Washington School of Law (high honors), where he served as an Executive Editor on the Washington Law Review and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. Kelly is licensed to practice in Washington state courts, the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
