Keith J. Dodson was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. After graduating high school, he went to the University of Wyoming for both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. During law school, Keith participated in several advocacy competitions. His teams in his final year of law school qualified for the regional moot court competition in Las Vegas, Nevada and the national PACE Environmental Moot Court Competition in White Plains, New York. His excellence in these competitions earned him the University of Wyoming College of Law's Excellence in Advocacy distinction.
