Kathryn L. Dent (maiden name: Sullivan) has a solid history in the preparation and litigation of many types of complex lawsuits. Her credentials include a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services, Public Policy, and Education with a minor in History from the University of Delaware. Kathryn was on the Dean's List at both schools and graduated at the top of her classes. Kathryn participated in Moot Court, served on the Student Bar Association, and was an Articles Editor for the Labor and Employment Law Journal while attending Hofstra Law. Kathryn has interned for both the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas and for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She worked throughout law school for the King's County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, NY and for private law firms gaining a wide range of legal specialty. Kathryn began her practice in San Marcos, Texas, but handled cases throughout the State. Her experience includes multiple day bench trials, jury trials, argument to the Third Court of Appeals and appearances in Federal Court. She has extensive dispute resolution experience guiding cases through mediation, a requirement in Texas before proceeding to trial. Kathryn has practiced in the areas of criminal defense, domestic litigation, zoning and land disputes, bankruptcy, probate matters, corporate and business transactions and worked in local city development. Kathryn served on the Board of the Hays County Bar Association and as president of the Hays County Young Lawyers Association. In 2017, Kathryn began practicing for Cordell & Cordell, a national domestic litigation firm. First, she practiced out of the firm's Austin, Texas office, and then she relocated with the firm to their Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. In 2019, Kathryn joined Petrelli Previtera, LLC where she continues to practice exclusively domestic litigation.
