About
Katie L. Marrs focuses her legal practice on serving individuals with disabilities, those in need of long-term care, and their families. Her work spans several areas within elder and disability law, including benefits advocacy, long-term care planning, guardianship and conservatorship, and both estate planning and administration. Katie received her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 2017 and her undergraduate degree in English and Law, Societies & Justice from the same institution in 2014. During law school, she held a senior advocacy internship at Columbia Legal Services, a Seattle-based nonprofit. After passing the Washington State Bar in 2017, she began practicing at Northwest Elder Law Group, PLLC, and joined Brothers Henderson Durkin, P.S. as an associate in 2021. Her contributions have been recognized by Washington Law & Politics, which named her a Rising Star from 2022 through 2024. Raised in the greater Seattle area, Katie now balances her legal career with outdoor activities shared with her husband and young son, often spending time hiking, at the beach, or enjoying their backyard.
