About

Karen is inspired by, and passionate about, the workplaces on which so many of us depend for our daily livings. Karen naturally gravitated to employment and labor law after more than six years' experience before law school working for the State of Alaska in professional personnel and labor relations roles. Karen has been privileged to work with all types of businesses and organizations, from the smallest enterprises, owned by individuals or families, to mid-sized regional organizations, to large national or multi‑national corporations. She has served clients in all economic sectors (private, nonprofit and public). Examples of the economic sectors in which Karen has represented employers include: Whatever the context, Karen collaborates with clients to address their legal needs in ways that are consistent with their business goals.
