About
Joshua is a Birmingham native and 2012 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he studied History and Political Science. After graduating from UAB, Joshua worked in sales at a large, multinational company. As a first year law student at Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, Joshua was awarded the Best Paper Award for Constitutional Law I and was selected to compete in the First Year Moot Court Competition. Joshua was an active member of the Samford Campus Veterans Association and the Judge James Edwin Horton Inn of Court. Joshua is also a veteran and is currently serving in the Army Reserve. In 2009, Joshua deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, where his unit conducted convoy security operations throughout southern Afghanistan. Joshua was recently selected to receive a commission as a 1st Lieutenant and will continue his military service as a Judge Advocate in the Army Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps. Joshua and his wife, Sarah, are the parents of two wonderful children. In his free time, Joshua enjoys reading books about early American history, running, and playing with his kids.
