Jon M. Hogelin is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark School of Law. Mr. Hogelin also received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University (Political Science) and his associate’s degree from Utah Valley University (Engineering). While in law school, Mr. Hogelin served on the Moot Court Board of Advocates, where he competed in Washington D.C., and on the Education and Law Journal Editorial Board. He published an article in the Brigham Young University Education and Law Journal titled “To Prevent And To Protect: The Reporting Of Child Abuse By Educators.” He also provided research as an assistant for Professor Shima Baradaran in the area of criminal law. Mr. Hogelin's experience includes a decade in the legal industry. He has worked in many areas of law, including commercial & civil litigation, business formations, criminal defense, real estate, wills & trusts, debt collection, personal injury and bankruptcy. During law school, he clerked for firms in Salt Lake City and Park City, while also externing for the Honorable Dee Benson of the United States Federal Court. Mr. Hogelin is experienced with drafting and reviewing contracts, pleadings, estate planning, forming businesses, oral arguments, trial preparation, settlement negotiations, mediations and research. He strives to effectively listen and identify the concerns of clients and is dedicated to vigorously pursue a resolution to any issue. Mr. Hogelin is originally from Colorado and is an avid Broncos, Jazz and Rockies fan. A former collegiate baseball player, he enjoys keeping up with many different sports. His other interests include current events, crosswords, biographies, and watching movies. Above all, Mr. Hogelin looks forward to spending time with his wife and two daughters.
