During law school, John served as a Lieutenant in the JAG program of the United States Navy, transitioning to active duty after passing the Georgia Bar in the same year. He began his legal career at a general practice firm in Toccoa before taking on roles as an Adjunct Professor of Government at Truett McConnell College. In 1974, he relocated to Lyons, Georgia, where he worked as an Associate at an insurance defense law firm while continuing his teaching at Brewton Parker Junior College. In 1975, John established The Brown Law Office in Commerce, where he has built a reputation for excellence in legal representation. His practice primarily focuses on General Practice and Insurance law, with over 85% of his work dedicated to litigation.
