About

Jack Moran is a business litigator that devotes the majority of his practice to representing employees in litigation in Northeast Ohio and beyond. In his employment practice, Jack’s clients include former employees being sued for claimed breaches of non-competition or non-solicitation agreements, as well as current or former employees seeking to enforce their rights under overtime laws and anti-discrimination protections. Jack has a thorough understanding of the federal and state laws shielding employees from retaliation, protecting them for whistleblowing, and prohibiting employers from discriminating on the basis of age, race, gender, sex, pregnancy, disability, and religious affiliation. Jack is an aggressive and successful litigator in the courtroom, achieving positive outcomes for his clients throughout state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Jack has also skillfully handled various non-employment business litigation matters. He has successfully represented at trial and in litigation both owners and contractors in construction disputes, and regularly prevails in foreclosure and other property-related cases. He has also routinely achieved successful tax reductions, for both commercial and residential properties, at county boards of revision. Jack’s success at trial is counterbalanced by the lucrative outcomes he has achieved for clients outside the courtroom, which have been some of his best results. Based on his successful representation of clients, Jack is the President of the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association and has been repeatedly recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star,” a distinction given to only 2.5% of Ohio attorneys. Jack is a Cleveland native and graduate of Gilmour Academy.
