John attended law school at the University Nebraska - Lincoln (UNL) College of Law. Between his first and second years of law school, John pursued law courses in Guanajuato, Mexico, at the Universidad de Guanajuato. After returning from Guanajuato, John served as a Spanish/English interpreter for the UNL Civil Clinic, and also began working at the Wolzen Law Office as a law clerk. Upon graduation, John was offered a position as an associate attorney. John is admitted to practice law in South Dakota and Nebraska. He is a member in good standing of the State Bar of South Dakota, the Nebraska State Bar Association, and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
