Johanna is the founder and managing partner of the Law Offices of Johanna Herrero. Johanna was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and immigrated to the United States at a very young age. Her dedication and passion for this field was born out of personal experience with the Immigration process. Over the years, Johanna has gained extensive knowlege of the Immigration Laws through trial work and immigration court experience. Johanna represents many of the firm's clients in hearings defensively before the Executive Office for Immigration Review. She practices regularly at the Boston Immigration Court, and manages the firm's extensive caseload before the Immigration Court, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Department of Homeland Security. Johanna provides expertise related to the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and deals with complex criminal cases on a daily basis. Through her strong advocacy skills, Johanna offers unmatched trial representation. Johanna also handles the firm's large detained docket and complex cases involving mandatory detention and bond matters. Johanna visits ICE Detention Centers and provides legal advice to detained individuals. In addition, she manages the firm's U and VAWA cases, for victims of domestic violence. She actively provides pro bono representation for indigent clients and combines efforts with Boston-based pro bono organizations for representation.
