About

I have been practicing immigration law exclusively since 1994 in Minnesota, having completed an LL.M. degree in transnational business and litigation and interning at a law firm in Europe Although interntationl busines is intellectually stimulating, I am motivated to a greater degree by people-centered issues, realizing this inclination in undergraduate years studying soical work and other human-centered disciplines. Immigration law appears deceptively "easy" but is often times anything but. Add to that the staisfaction of helping reunite families; fighting for someone to obtain poltical asylum in the United States when their lives are at risk; or assisting somone in negoiating the maze of the USCIS and the US Department of State laws and regulations is a challenge I am happy to undertake. I am and have been involved in several immigrant-related community non-profits, such as the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota; Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights; and most recently, the Italian Cultural Center of Minnesota. It is gratifying to play a role in bringing and maintaining acultural diversity to the local community and to the United States through my profession and volunteer efforts.
