About
Jeffrey B. Wolfert is an accomplished attorney based in Berkeley, California, specializing in Immigration, Insurance, and Real Estate law. Growing up just outside New York City, Jeffrey was immersed in the legal profession from an early age, influenced by his parents—his father practicing Real Estate Law and his mother advocating for underprivileged individuals as a Legal Aid attorney. These experiences sparked his interest in advocating for those who face challenges with insurance companies, employers, landlords, and medical providers. Jeffrey began his legal journey in trademark and patent litigation, quickly realizing his commitment to representing individuals rather than large corporations. This led him to focus on Immigration Law, where he provided crucial support to clients navigating complex legal processes. After passing the California State Bar, he expanded his expertise to Workers’ Compensation Law. His early career included valuable experience at a prominent law firm representing insurance companies, where he gained critical insights into their strategies and practices regarding Workers' Compensation claims. This knowledge uniquely positions him to advocate effectively for injured workers seeking fair treatment. Over the years, Jeffrey has successfully handled hundreds, if not thousands, of Workers’ Compensation cases, demonstrating a deep understanding of both sides of the issue. His litigation experience includes numerous trials, along with a discerning approach to settlements, ensuring that his clients receive the best possible outcomes. He prides himself on fostering strong relationships with his clients, providing them with the support and assurance they need throughout the often-stressful litigation process. Jeffrey earned his law degree from Golden Gate University in 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from The University of Vermont. He has been a valued member of the Law Offices of Barry P. Gorelick since 2009 and has previously worked with reputable firms such as Laughlin Falbo, Levy and Moresi, Van Der Hout & Bragagliano, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
