Jan Peter Christiansen, known as J.P., hails from Montclair, New Jersey, where he was born in 1964. His academic journey led him to Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a B.S. in Finance in 1987. J.P. then pursued his passion for law at Tulane University School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctorate in 1990. During his time at Tulane, he honed his advocacy skills as a participant in the prestigious J. Braxton Craven, Jr. Memorial Moot Court Competition and emerged as a finalist in the Tulane Moot Court Junior Appellate Competition. After receiving his law degree, J.P. established his career at Hudson, Potts & Bernstein, L.L.P. in Monroe, Louisiana. With a focus on personal injury law, he has developed a reputation for his comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape and his commitment to achieving justice for his clients. J.P. is licensed to practice in all State and Federal courts in Louisiana, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, and has successfully litigated over one hundred cases, securing favorable judgments across various parishes and appellate courts in the state. J.P. actively engages with the legal community through his memberships in esteemed organizations such as the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute.
