About
Jamie Lee O'Brien is a seasoned attorney at Couling Law & Mediation, PLLC, located in Brighton, MI, specializing in personal injury law. With a robust legal foundation that began in March 2001 as a Research Attorney for a Family Court Judge, Jamie has garnered invaluable insights into the emotional and financial toll that high-conflict family disputes can have on individuals and families. After five years of observing court proceedings and their impact on families, Jamie recognized the necessity for alternatives to adversarial litigation. This realization propelled her to join a reputable firm in 2006, where she honed her skills in family mediation and conflict resolution. She completed her Family Mediation training in April 2006 and further enhanced her expertise with domestic violence training shortly thereafter. Jamie’s commitment to fostering peaceful resolutions led her to participate in Collaborative Practice training in May 2008 and to earn her ICLE Family Law Certificate. Currently, Jamie serves clients in Brighton, Flint, and surrounding areas, including Livingston, Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee, and Oakland Counties. She is a staunch advocate for mediation and collaborative law, believing that these methods not only mitigate the emotional strain of divorce but also shield children from its adverse effects. As a fair and neutral mediator, Jamie works diligently to guide parties toward equitable agreements that facilitate smoother transitions, allowing families to move forward with dignity and respect. With a focus on personal injury law, Jamie is dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of their cases, ensuring they receive the support and representation they deserve. Her empathetic approach and extensive experience make her a trusted ally for those seeking resolution in challenging times.
