James currently serves on the Board of Directors for MPower which partners with students, families and schools to teach young people how to achieve their goals and develop effective voices for self-expression. James also previously Co-Chaired the Garfield County Methamphetamine Task Force. James is an avid skier and fly-fisher, and a former professional chef. James has lived in in Colorado since 1996 and the Roaring Fork valley since 2000.
