After his military service, he pursued higher education at Memphis State University and the University of Washington, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 1974. He furthered his legal education at the University of Oregon Law School, earning his Juris Doctorate in 1977. Following law school, Mr. Buckley spent three years as a prosecuting attorney in Olympia, honing his skills in the courtroom. In 1981, he transitioned into private practice, eventually establishing his own firm, Buckley & Associates, in Tacoma in 1983. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to continuous learning, attending seminars and conferences to stay abreast of advancements in personal injury law. In addition to his role as a trial lawyer, Mr. Buckley serves as a hearing examiner with the Washington State Bar Association and acts as an arbitrator for King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.
