Professional Summary Jaclyn is an Associate Attorney at Hopkins & Carley. She is a member of the Family Wealth & Tax Planning Practice Group. Jaclyn works with individuals, families, trustees, executors, personal representatives, and small business owners, with her primary areas of practice including: Estate planning Wealth preservation and transfer Family succession planning Gift trust planning Charitable planning Estate and trust administration Probate Family business organizations Educational Summary Jaclyn received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology – Organizational Studies, focusing on political, social and economic organizations that comprise modern society. She later earned her Juris Doctorate degree and Legal Writing Concentration Certificate from Whittier College School of Law. Jaclyn was a recipient of an Academic Scholarship upon entering law school and the Dean’s Merit Scholarship in her second and third year of law school. She also received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Legal Writing II and Aviation Law. During this time, Jaclyn was a member of the Whittier Law School Law Review. She also participated in the Street Law Program in Orange County, California, teaching juvenile delinquents and inner-city youth about law to heighten awareness of legal issues among high school level youth. Associations Jaclyn serves as Immediate Past President of the San Mateo County Bar Association, Barrister’s Section, an organization of new lawyers committed to professional growth, advocating for its members and actively participating in local community outreach programs. Jaclyn also serves as Ex-Officio Board of Director for the San Mateo County Bar Association, as well as Assistant Secretary for the Estate Planning and Probate Section. Jaclyn was admitted to practice in the State of California in 2009. Other interests In addition to her practice of law, Jaclyn shares her time with her husband, Blair, son, Nico, and daughter, Zoey. She enjoys being outdoors and is active in Pilates, yoga and cycling. She enjoys traveling and has studied abroad in Italy at the Universita’ per Stranieri in Siena, Italy and Toulouse, France at the University of Toulouse. In addition to her native English, she speaks conversational Russian and Italian.
