Jac E. Knust is an experienced collaborative law lawyer and family mediator. He has been practicing family law in Columbia, Maryland for over 50 years. The family law cases he has taken on have included issues such as child support, custody and visitation, and divorce. He is an advocate for alternatives to traditional divorce, including collaborative law and mediation services. Jac devotes 25% of his practice to litigation and also manages a team of collaborative lawyers. During his long tenure as a practicing attorney, Jac has handled cases beyond the scope of family law and continues to do so today. These areas include criminal law, DUI/DWI, traffic violations, motor vehicle accidents (Plaintiff), estate planning, wills, probate and estate administration, and business organizations. Jac graduated from Clemson University in 1969 and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland, where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. He was admitted to practice law in MD in 1972.
