About
I have extensive experience litigating cases as sole trial counsel in jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations. I have litigated cases involving wrongful death, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, personal injury, automobile incidents, insurance bad faith, employment termination/demotion, breach of contracts, and premises liability. I was born and raised in Mississippi, and am married with two children. I completed my undergraduate education in 1995 at the University of Mississippi, where I obtained Bachelor of Arts degrees in philosophy, political science, and sociology. I earned my Juris Doctorate in 1999 from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Since law school, I have focused my practice on litigation and honing my advocacy skills. As part of that focus, I have undergone the education and attained the experience necessary to be certified as a mediator and FINRA arbitrator since 2009. Prior to joining Finger Newcomb & Thigpen, I litigated cases to verdict both in Mississippi and Colorado, obtaining multiple jury verdicts and arbitration awards. As a result of those verdicts and awards, I was honored with and named to The National Trial Lawyers β Top 40 Under 40. I am excited about the opportunity to use my experience to assist individuals in obtaining the justice they deserve. I am licensed to practice law in Texas (2015), Colorado (2013), Georgia (2012), and Mississippi (1999).
