About

Heidi Villari was born and raised in Philadelphia and still lives here today. She is the go-to lawyer for handling complex cases involving the catastrophically injured including matters of birth injury, medical malpractice, severe transportation accidents, products liability, construction accidents. Heidi is the managing partner of The Villari Firm, PLLC. Heidi obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from Villanova University and a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law, where her trial advocacy skills earned her induction into the Moe Levine Honor Society. After graduating, Heidi joined a well-regarded insurance defense law firm with offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, where she worked to become the first female partner in that firm’s 25 year history. As a defense lawyer, Heidi represented transit authorities, construction companies, industrial equipment builders, and a wide variety of product manufacturers in hundreds of lawsuits. She personally took hundreds of depositions in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases ranging from pedestrian accidents, to scaffolding collapses, to electrocutions, to amputations, to industrial accidents. Heidi was kept on retainer by insurers and manufacturers to handle the cases with the most severe damages and the most complicated issues, like tractor-trailer axle failures. These companies relied on Heidi not just because she was an effective lawyer in the courtroom, but also because of her no-nonsense attitude and her ability to accurately gauge the value of a case in front of the jury. If she thought a lawsuit against her clients would prevail, she told them so, and recommended they try to work a fair settlement – and in the process successfully negotiated the resolution of hundreds of serious cases, including through mediation or arbitration. If the parties couldn’t work it out, then the case went to trial, and Heidi has successfully tried cases in front of juries, judges, and arbitrators. After more than a decade building a thriving practice as lead counsel for several transportation, contracting, and manufacturing insurers, Heidi wanted to set it all aside to represent injured persons exclusively — and The Beasley Firm was more than happy to bring aboard a talented lawyer with a reputation for being tough and professional. Heidi thus brings to The Beasley Firm both her skills as a trial attorney and a negotiator, and her extensive experience “on the other side,” having been a defense attorney for more than a decade of her career in the very same types of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases The Beasley Firm handles. Heidi has intimate knowledge of the insurance industry and the handling of claims, and thus knows how to build a case in the way that’s most compelling — and worrying — to the insurance adjusters who decide if an insurance company will make a settlement offer and, if so, for how much. If the insurance company won’t make a fair settlement offer, then Heidi’s ready and willing to go to trial: she knows all the insurance company methods for defeating claims and limiting compensation, and thus how to beat them. Heidi is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She’s a member of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Justice, the Justinian Society and the Philadelphia Bar Association, and she serves as a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Committee for the Women in Profession, State Civil Litigation Committee, and Compulsory Arbitration Committee. She is a court-appointed arbitrator for Philadelphia County and gives lectures on insurance litigation methods and practices.
