Gary M. Samms has comprehensive experience in complex civil litigation matters. His law practice concentrates in the areas of commercial, medical malpractice professional liability, health care and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Samms chairs the firm's Professional Liability Practice Group. Mr. Samms has gained acclaim for his trial work and has been named five times to the lists as one of Pennsylvania's Top 100 Lawyers and one of Philadelphia's Top 100 Lawyers by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers®. He has been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in the past eight consecutive years, an honor bestowed upon only 5% of Pennsylvania lawyers. He has previously been named one of "Pennsylvania's 50 on the Fast Track"in 2001 by his peers. As an active litigator, he has tried well over 150 major jury trials and has had success in Federal and State court as well as arguing successfully before the Supreme Court and all other Pennsylvania Appellate Courts. He is also a former founder and litigation partner at Maturano, Patete & Samms, whose practice focused on civil litigation and criminal defense. Furthermore, he has directed litigation involving numerous commercial and injunction matters. He began his career clerking for the Honorable Robert J. Shenkin of the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.
