About
After graduation from Emory University in 1973, Rick began his professional practice in Decatur, Georgia in 1973. His practice was wide an varied. While in Georgia his practice concentrated on family law, but he represented clients in many aspects of civil law, including representing small and medium size corporations, car racing engine builders and race car fabricators, contract litigation, specialized litigation under federal law assisting blind people with food service programs, and persons accused of white collar crimes. In 1998, he received an AV® Preeminent ™ rated attorney with Martindale Hubbell. In 1998 Rick and his family moved to the Four Corners area of Colorado where he limited his practice to real state and land use law, representation of a local nursing home and a local bank. In 2001, he accepted a position in the trial division with the Supreme Court of Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation and moved to Denver, Colorado. His practice consisted of prosecution of attorneys who committed various ethics rules. After his twin daughters graduated high school in 2005, Rick and his wife, Marica, relocated to Concord, North Carolina to be close to their son and grandchildren and be back in the warm weather South. Since establishing his practice in North Carolina, Rick concentrates on all aspects of estate administration, guardianship administration, and family law. Entering his 40th year of providing quality legal services, Rick bases his practice on taking care of his clients and providing common sense solutions to their legal problems.
