Frank D. Russo is a distinguished attorney with over thirty-three years of experience, having successfully resolved more than 10,000 cases in the fields of employment law and personal injury. He is the founder of Russo Mediation and Law in Oakland, California, and previously managed a highly regarded law firm, earning an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Russo has contributed to the legal community as an expert witness and has shared his insights through lectures and publications, including a chapter in the Continuing Education of the Bar textbook on California Workers’ Compensation Practice. His extensive involvement in California's legislative process includes serving as Chief of Staff to the Chair of the Assembly Rules Committee and as Legal Counsel to the Speaker of the California Assembly. Mr. Russo is recognized for his profound understanding of the law, having played a significant role in crafting legislation and regulations while serving as an arbitration panel member with the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Certified as a Workers’ Compensation specialist since 1985, Mr. Russo has held the position of Workers’ Compensation Judge pro tem and was elected President of the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association in 1997. He is renowned for his ability to handle complex legal matters and facilitate resolution among diverse interests, earning him the reputation of a “peacemaker.” In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Russo is Of Counsel to Boxer & Gerson and is actively involved in mediation and arbitration services throughout California. He graduated with honors from Yale University and earned his law degree from Boalt Hall at the University of California, Berkeley.
