An attorney in Frilot's Commercial Litigation Section, Mr. Fineran specializes in the representation of young and emerging businesses in litigation and transactional matters. Mr. Fineran is an Adjunct Law Professor at the Loyola University College of Law, where he teaches Louisiana Civil Procedure. He is a co-author of Equity Research (Esq. Books 2011), a graduate-level finance textbook. His article, The Louisiana Road Home Program: A Path of Unintended Consequences, was published in the Spring 2007 Edition of the Buffalo Public Interest Law Journal. A standing member of the Advisory and Editorial Board for Esquire Books, Mr. Fineran was an editor of Louisiana Civil Procedure: Cases and Materials by Blaine LeCesne,The Handbook on Louisiana Alternative Dispute Resolution Laws by Bobby Marzine Harges, and Louisiana Evidence: Cases, Problems, and Materials by Bobby Marzine Harges and Russel Jones, textbooks used in several Louisiana law schools. Mr. Fineran graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University College of Business in 2004, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In 2007, Mr. Fineran graduated cum laude from Loyola University College of Law, earning both a Juris Doctorate degree and a Certificate in Civil and Common Law. He was a member of the Loyola Law Review and a William L. Crowe Scholar. He was also an extern for United States District Judge Ivan Lemelle in the Eastern District of Louisiana. Mr. Fineran is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
