Erik Matthew Papke is a dedicated bankruptcy and financial attorney at Kramer & Hand, LLC, based in Arnold, Missouri. A proud St. Louis native, Erik has a deep-rooted commitment to serving his community through effective legal representation in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, as well as family law matters. Erik's academic journey began at St. Louis University High School and culminated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rockhurst University in 2002, where he was honored to be on the Dean's List. His leadership skills shone through as he served as Student Senate President and treasurer of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He furthered his legal education at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, graduating in 2005. During law school, Erik distinguished himself by participating in Mediation, Negotiation, and Mock Trial competitions, and was a founding member of the Sports Law Society, focusing on the intersection of sports and legal issues. With a diverse legal background that includes experience in Workers’ Compensation, consumer bankruptcy, consumer collections, and family law, Erik is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the legal system. He is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois state courts, as well as various federal courts, including the Eastern District of Missouri and the Central and Southern District of Illinois. Active in the legal community, Erik is a member of the Debtors’ Attorneys of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Bar Association of Metro St. Louis. Outside of his professional life, Erik enjoys family time with his wife, Ashley, and their two daughters, along with their beloved cat, Hei Hei. His commitment to his clients and community makes him a trusted advocate in the fields of bankruptcy and family law.
