Eric J. Waxler is a seasoned civil litigator and trial lawyer based in Oregon, specializing in insurance law. With over 75 jury trials under his belt, along with countless court trials, motion hearings, and other court appearances, Eric has developed a robust skill set that allows him to effectively advocate for his clients in complex legal matters. His extensive experience includes significant roles at the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office and the in-house legal team at Farmers Insurance, where he honed his ability to resolve cases favorably for clients. A native of a small town in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Eric brings a grounded perspective to his practice. He earned a degree in Government from Augustana College, which laid the foundation for his commitment to public service. His journey took him to Washington, D.C., where he played a pivotal role in launching and overseeing AmeriCorps programs nationwide. Eventually drawn to the vibrant culture of the Pacific Northwest, Eric made Portland his home. In addition to his legal practice, Eric is deeply committed to community service and has held various leadership positions within the Multnomah Bar Association, including President of the Young Lawyer Section and Chair of the Pro Bono Pledge Task Force. His contributions to the legal community have been recognized with the MBA's Award of Merit and the prestigious Pro Bono Award. He also served as the secretary for the Oregon State Bar's Judicial Administration Committee. When not advocating for his clients, Eric prioritizes family time, enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and skiing with his son.
