Edward Evan Cope, a seasoned attorney with over two decades of legal experience, has been serving clients in Tennessee since 2001. In addition to his legal practice, Evan holds significant positions in public service. Appointed by Governor Bill Haslam, he serves as the chair of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC), where he helps shape the future of higher education policy in the state. He is also a board member of the Webb School in Bell Buckle, one of Tennessee’s oldest independent secondary schools, and an active participant on the board of directors for Greenhouse Ministries, a non-profit dedicated to assisting those in need in Murfreesboro. Evan is a proud alumnus of the Webb School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College in 1998. He further honed his legal acumen at the University of Memphis School of Law, where he graduated in 2001, receiving the dean’s award for excellence in trial advocacy and contributing to the moot court board.
