About

Doug was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to Colorado Springs in 1985. He and his wife Kitsen (a Colorado Springs native) have raised three fantastic sons in beautiful Colorado Springs. Doug played professional baseball in the Montreal Expos organization before retiring in 1980. He has coached youth baseball, soccer and basketball in the Pikes Peak area for over 20 years. Doug’s practice focuses on trusts and estates, business representation, real estate and charitable giving from the basic to the highly complex and bizarre. He received his B.S.B.A., his M.B.A. and his Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Denver. He has been licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado since 1985 and is the managing attorney of Goldberg Law Center, P.C. Doug is the co-author of five books on estate planning (and one for baseball catchers), is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and sits on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations. He lectures frequently on estate and business planning issues to audiences that include attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors as well as normal people.
