About
I've been a trial lawyer for over 35 years. I graduated from Yale in 1981, and NYU Law School in 1984. My career began with 4 years as a criminal prosecutor in 1984, and then 10 years at a mid-sized Chicago law firm where I became a partner. I have litigation training from some of the best trial lawyers in the city. I opened my law office in 1998. In addition to practicing law full time, I've been teaching trial skills to practicing lawyers every year since 1994 as a faculty member with The National Institute for Trial Advocacy; and I've been teaching trial skills to law students as an adjunct professor of law at Northwestern Law School every year since 1995. Because I practice law and also teach trial skills to practicing lawyers and law students, I am constantly studying and using the skills that make a trial lawyer successful. I use that combination of study and experience to benefit my clients. If you need a lawyer to handle business litigation, civil rights litigation, employment litigation, criminal post-conviction or federal habeas proceedings, or an appeal in state or federal court, call for a free consultation.
