In September 2013, Dorothy J. Kenney joined Einhorn, Harris, Ascher, Barbarito & Frost, PC as an associate in the Matrimonial and Family Law Departments. Dorothy received her B.A. summa cum laude from Montclair State University in 2009 with a double major in Jurisprudence and Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. She graduated with her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, New Jersey in 2012. While in law school she was Co-Chair of the Domestic Violence Advocacy Program, the Notes & Comments Editor for Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal and a volunteer for the Essex County Family Justice Center, providing legal assistance to domestic violence litigants. After law school, and prior to joining the firm, Dorothy served as law clerk to the Honorable Ernest M. Caposela, Presiding Judge Family Part for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic Vicinage. While working for the Court, she handled all family matters including divorce litigation, alimony, child support, custody, domestic violence and juvenile delinquency. She also served as a certified State Court mediator for landlord tenant and small claims disputes.
