About
I love the law. I believe that everyone deserves a happy life. I have a passion for helping families through the messy, and very emotional, family law process. What drove me to become a family law attorney was the deep desire to help people in need. I know that going through a divorce, custody issue, paternity, adoption, guardianship, protective order or Child in Need of Services (CHINS), I will be there every step of the way to lend an ear and be honest and fair. My goal is to counsel clients to resolve issues without legal intervention. If a resolution cannot be reached, I will fight for my client’s rights through the litigation process. I have children of my own and have personally gone through the family law process in my own life. This life experience helps me sympathize with my clients and looks out for their best interest, and the best interest of the children. Prior to joining Banks & Brower, I handled hundreds of cases for the Department of Child Services (DCS) where I served as a local office attorney and became Chief Counsel of Region 11 in 2019. Before DCS, my husband and I started our own legal practice at Newman & Newman PC—which handled family law and criminal law cases. I have been a parent in a blended family for 16 years, I also have animals and house plants I care for. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family, kayak, hike, travel and tend to my many plants
