Her distinguished military career includes pivotal roles such as Commanding Officer for a major Region Legal Service Office and Fleet Judge Advocate for U.S. Naval Central Command and U.S. Fleet Cyber Command. Denise retired as a Navy Captain after over 28 years of dedicated service, highlighting her commitment to excellence and leadership. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Denise holds both a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master of Laws (LL.M). She has been a member of the California State Bar since 1993 and is active in the San Diego County Bar Association, particularly in the Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Law, Tax Law, and Military Law sections. Passionate about giving back to her community, Denise volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Voices for Children, helping foster children in San Diego County, and serves on the Board of Management for the Armed Services YMCA of San Diego.
