About

Dave Brown is a founding partner of Boston MicroLaw, LLP, a practice of small business attorneys in Boston. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and a graduate of the Northeastern University School of Law. As a Northeastern University Law Fellow, he researched the business models of the legal industry to assist in the development of LawBridge, an incubator project to help new attorneys serve middle-income clients who cannot afford rising legal fees in the Boston area. As part of his program at Northeastern, Dave completed co-ops in the General Counsel Offices of the EMC Corporation, the intellectual property firm GTC Law Group, solo small business litigator Seth Salinger of Newton and with the non-profit legal services organization Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts. Prior to becoming an attorney, Dave worked as a sports reporter for newspapers in Rhode Island, North Carolina and Massachusetts. He served as the Patriots Beat Writer for the Standard-Times of New Bedford, MA, following the Patriots to Super Bowl XLII and the Red Sox to the 2007 World Series. He has received multiple awards for investigative reporting, including national recognition from the Associated Press Sports Editors. He also reported from Capitol Hill in the Fall of 2002, and served as an editorial assistant on the Editorial Page of the Boston Globe during the presidential election in 2000.
