Transitioning to law, David attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he distinguished himself as a student attorney in the Family Law Clinic. There, he advocated for economically disadvantaged clients across various courts, including the District Court and the Court of Special Appeals. His commitment to social justice extended beyond the classroom as he actively participated in legislative reform efforts for Maryland's Domestic Violence laws, testifying before the General Assembly to promote positive change. After earning his Juris Doctor, David served as a law clerk for Special Master Andrea F. Kelly in the Family Law Division of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. He further refined his skills under the mentorship of Professor Byron L. Warnken, where he took on the role of attorney-in-charge of Family Law and Worker’s Compensation practices at Warnken, LLC. In 2010, driven by a desire to provide personalized legal services, David founded the Law Office of David D. Nowak. Today, he focuses on a diverse array of practice areas, including estate planning, family law, worker’s compensation claims, criminal law, and civil matters. David is particularly dedicated to representing Maryland State Troopers and actively supports the Maryland Troopers Association.
