Inspired by the legacy of Charles Houston, a pivotal figure in dismantling the Jim Crow era, Mr. Szeto embarked on his legal career with a steadfast resolve. He graduated with a triple major in Philosophy, Political Science, and History from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, before earning his Juris Doctorate with distinction from Loyola Law School in New Orleans. His academic excellence was recognized through memberships in both science and academic honor societies, where he had the privilege of learning from and mentoring some of the brightest legal minds. After joining the Louisiana Bar Association, Mr. Szeto began working at a Metairie-based law firm, where he became intimately familiar with the complexities of Road Home cases. He witnessed firsthand the struggles of Hurricane Katrina survivors as the state sought to reclaim funds from those who were already vulnerable. This experience fueled his ambition to establish his own practice, where he could create a more streamlined process to assist individuals in navigating the legal system. Since founding The Law Office of Christopher Szeto, he has been unwavering in his mission to serve the community.
