Born and raised in Hayes. Louisiana, Chris attended Bell City High School and graduated in 2004. He then went on to McNeese State University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Health and Human Performance Education in 2008. Chris then attended Southern University Law Center, enrolling in the evening division. While in law school, Chris was a member of the Southern University Law Review, and his case note was featured in the Spring 2012 edition. Also while attending law school, Chris worked at a local Baton Rouge middle school where he helped special needs students. Chris and his wife Mary have one son, Paul.
