About
I'm Chris, and throughout my legal career, I've been driven by a deep commitment to justice and a passion for complex litigation. Before joining the Law Offices of Matthew Peterson as Senior Trial Counsel, I served as the Managing Attorney in the Criminal Bureau’s Insurance and Unemployment Fraud Division, where I trained other prosecutors while handling grand jury investigations into some of the most intricate white-collar crimes—everything from embezzlement and money laundering to insurance fraud and identity theft. Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, I worked as an Assistant County Attorney in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. There, I prosecuted a wide range of cases including narcotics offenses, violent crimes, theft, and multiple forms of fraud. In those courtrooms, I honed my litigation skills and developed a deep appreciation for the complexities of criminal law. But before I ever stepped into a courtroom, I spent six years as a tax consultant, specializing in multistate corporate transaction taxes—specifically sales and use tax issues. That early experience gave me a unique perspective and a strong foundation in financial and regulatory matters that I continue to draw upon today. I bring a wealth of courtroom experience and a strong work ethic to every case I handle. Whether I'm mentoring fellow attorneys or working on complex criminal litigation, I approach each task with the same level of dedication and intensity. I thrive on the challenges the legal field presents and am always motivated by the impact our work has on people’s lives and on the integrity of our justice system.
