Following his commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, Chris honed his leadership skills at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, graduating on the Commanding General's Honor Roll before completing the Infantry Officer's Course. His military career includes multiple deployments and leadership roles as a Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer, and Company Commander. Recognized for his exceptional service, he was among a select group chosen for the Marine Corps Law Education Program, ultimately attending the College of William and Mary School of Law. There, he excelled in his studies, earning his Juris Doctor and successfully passing the Virginia Bar. Chris furthered his legal expertise at the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island, before transitioning to a Judge Advocate role. His impressive military legal career includes serving as both Defense Counsel and Senior Defense Counsel at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Head Prosecutor at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, and Chief Legal Assistance Officer at Parris Island. He also held significant positions on the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Commanding General's Staff and the Legal Service Support Team at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Notably, Chris spent a year as the Deputy Chief Advisor for the Afghan National Army's Legal Advisor Team in Kabul, Afghanistan. After retiring from the Marine Corps as a Major, Chris relocated to Nashville and became an accredited attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for Veterans Benefits and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Now based in Hendersonville, he is committed to providing compassionate and knowledgeable legal guidance in trusts and estate planning. Outside of his professional life, Chris enjoys spending quality time with his son, further grounding his dedication to family and community.
